ELISA Stop Solution
ELISA Stop Solution for TMB Substrate is specifically formulated to terminate the HRP/TMB reaction and start the yellow colour development in ELISA reaction wells . Diagnopal ELISA Stop solution is an acidic solution ELISA reagent. ELISA TMB substrate is a chromogenic reagent that is used in ELISA.
TMB can acts as a proton donor for the reduction of hydrogen peroxide to water by peroxidase enzymes such as HRP. The resulting diamine causes the solution to take on a blue colour.
Adding ELISA stop solution (usually in equal volume ) to this blue diamine TMB-solution not only terminate HRP / TMB- Substrate reaction, But also change its colour to yellow that can be read at 650 nm. By adding ELISA stop solution, the colour turns from blue to yellow with 2-3-fold increased absorbance values at 450 nm.
