Description
ELISA TMB Substrate (Sensitive)
ELISA TMB Substrate (Sensitive) is a One-Component TMB (3,3′,5,5′ tetramethylbenzidine) which is a non-carcinogenic benzidine compound in a mildly acidic solution. TMB is a chromogen that yields a blue colour when oxidized with hydrogen peroxide (catalyzed by HRP). The TMB blue colour has major absorbance at 370 nm and 652 nm.
The colour then changes to yellow (measured at 450 nm) upon addition of ELISA Stop solution to the reaction. Ready to use TMB solution is very sensitive and more quickly oxidized than other HRP substrates, resulting in faster colour development.
ELISA TMB/Substrate (Sensitive, One Component) is recommended to commercial ELISA kits and as well as a ELISA Reagent in routine ELISA protocols.
